Vintage One of a Kind Tracing Wheel with Bamboo Handle

One of a kind vintage tracing wheel with distinctive wood, bamboo style handle.
This belonged to my Grandmother. There is a chance my Grandfather, who was a welder, may have made it for her during the war. If it was purchased, it was purchased somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area, where they lived, or Japan, where they frequently traveled. It is very old, probably dating anywhere from the 1930's to the 1950's.

Handle: 2 1/4" in diameter (fattest part)
Metal portion: 2 1/8" long (to end of blade)
