Made of soft, supportive foam the BackBacker is a product primarily designed to aid surgery, hospice, recovering, longer-term bed-ridden, and other individuals who cannot comfortably lie on their backs for extended periods of time.
It allows a person to rest on their side longer by affording the added support of three distinct resting angles.
Each angle allows different comfort choices and permits an individual to gain additional resting time
off of the back
which can aid both comfort and the healing process.  The BackBacker is 20" long and the 3 sides vary in length, (approximately 6" x 7½" x 9").  There are 4 distinct versions of the BackBacker: soft, medium, firm and extra firm.  The version you are looking at is "medium"
and is for comfortable, contoured, medium-duty support.

The BackBacker is a specially designed pillow, with 3 unique resting angles, each designed to lay parallel to the body and give the back additional support while lying on the side.
The 60º angle allows resting in an upright, side position as it contours to the curvature of the back and gives support from shoulder to hip.
The 40º angle provides multiple resting positions on a combination of back and side.
This positioning angle takes pressure off the hips and can improve comfort for many, while still keeping an individual from lying completely on the back.
The 80º angle gives an additional resting position.  Simply place The BackBacker in front of the chest and lean slightly forward on the soft supporting comfort it provides.
