    Product Description
    65 Nickel Iron Electrodes
    Description: Nickel-iron Alloy Electrode
    Premium nickel-iron alloy electrode (AC-DC). For gray and alloyed cast iron. 65 Nickel is for the repair of all types of cast iron. It yields dense, strong, yet totally machinable deposits. It is ideal for the repair of “Meehanite”, “Ni-Resist”, ductile iron and for the joining of cast iron to steel. Typical applications embody the repair of castings, housings, gear teeth, motor, machine bases, etc.
    Procedure:
    Use AC or DC reverse polarity with a short arc. Prepare the weld joint by cleaning and beveling as required
    Use HARRIS CHAMFER ARC for grooving. Tack weld cracks and drill small holes at each end of cracks to stop further cracking
    Generally, preheating is not necessary, particularly on thin sections; however, preheat of 400F - 500F is suggested in the welding of heavier castings
    Stringer beads are preferred; however, slight weaving may be used
    Skip or back-step weld. Short deposits no longer than 1 1/2” are recommended
    Peen each bead while still hot to stress relieve. Allow casting to cool slowly

    We suggest Priority Mail for lighter weight items under 4lbs and UPS for heavier items when shipping in the Unites States. WE USUALLY SHIP THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY AFTER PAYMENT RECEIVED, SAME DAY IN SOME CASES. Tracking information will be sent once order has shipped. We strive to always have stock available for shipping, but from time to time stock-outs may occur. Some welders are not stock items and will be ordered from manufacturer when paid for. It usually takes only a few days to ship to you. We are open M-F 8-4 Eastern. Orders received over the weekend are processed on Monday and usually ship Monday or Tuesday.
    All items are covered by Manufacturer warranties. We will help you with any warranty issues. Small items shipped by UPS ground, FedEx Ground, USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail, unless you choose 1st or 2nd day air at additional charge. Larger welders are shipped via common carrier of our choice. We get it to your door. Additional charges for lift gates or special delivery are at your cost.
