    The MS4043 offers three forms of defense against attack on a threaded mortice cylinder. The outer shield ring is bevelled to offer poor grip for twisting. The hardened steel material combined with the beveled shape makes obtaining a tight grip on the ring virtually impossible. The retainer plate on the back of the door prevents the cylinder being levered out in the event of a chisel type tool being driven into the stile behind the shield ring. Use the Adams Rite Maximum Security 4043 Cylinder Guard in place of the standard trim ring collar supplied with most threaded cylinders.
